United Way's Emerging Leaders give back for the holidays

Our Emerging Leaders members partnered with the Salvation Army to help families in our community celebrate the holiday season. Volunteers helped individuals pick out gifts and food for their families and loved ones.

 

Creating Magic

We had a magical Monday morning in December with speaker Lee Cockerell, former executive vice president of operations for the Walt Disney World resort and author of Creating Magic: Lee Cockerell. Huge thanks to Dixon Schwabl for sponsoring the morning.

Rochester ROC'ed the Day

We ROC'ed it again! On November 29 #GivingTuesday Rochester raised $747,794 for more than 550 local not-for-profits. In six years ROC the Day has raised more than $4 million for our community (that's just 120 hours!). Way to go ROCstars!

United Way honors Emerson Fullwood

 

Emerson Fullwood was honored with United Way's 2016 Tocqueville Society Award to recognize his leadership and generosity in our community. Read more here.

United Way celebrates new class of LLDP, AALDP graduates

This fall, hundreds of people connected to celebrate the graduation of United Way's 2016 Latino Leadership Development and African American Leadership Development classes. Nearly 50 people completed the course and are ready to serve our community on local boards and committees to help Rochester thrive.
