Leadership Giving

When you become a leadership giver, you join hundreds of like-minded individuals in our community who come together to make a world of difference with their annual leadership gift of $1,000, or $500 for Young Leaders' Club, to United Way. Red Feather Circle

Red Feather Leadership Givers are individuals who give $1,000 or more to United Way. Benefits include advance notice of volunteer opportunities, invitations to special events and recognition on United Way of Greater Rochester's Thank You website. As a leadership giver, you may also choose to take part in an affinity leadership group below.

African American Leadership Society

The African American Leadership Society (Howard Wilson Coles Society) recognizes the vital role African Americans play in improving the quality of life in Rochester. Members contribute $1,000 or more each year.

Circulo Latino

Circulo Latino honors the influence and dedication of Rochester's Latino community. Members contribute $1,000 or more each year. Learn More

The Women's Leadership Council empowers women of Rochester to make their unique voices heard. Members contribute $1,000 or more each year. Learn More

Young Leaders' Club

The Young Leaders' Club recognizes and develops the spirit of philanthropy among our future leaders. The Young Leader's Club is open to individuals and couples, ages 21-40, who give $500 (that's only $10 per week) or more to United Way. Learn More

Labor Leaders' Club

The Labor Leaders' Club recognizes philanthropy among union members in our community who maximize the power of collective generosity. Members contribute $1,000 or more each year.

Alexis de Tocqueville Society

The Alexis de Tocqueville Society comprises community leaders who make an annual gift of $10,000 or more to United Way, setting an extraordinary example of generosity for others to follow.

Unifying the philanthropic efforts of these community leaders, the Society is named after Alexis de Tocqueville, a 19th-century French aristocrat who praised this country's "spirit of volunteerism" and philanthropy in his 1835 book, Democracy in America.

Fast Track
United Way is pleased to offer Fast Track, a unique giving option that helps you evolve your philanthropic goals as you continue to increase your giving levels. When you take advantage of Fast Track, you will be fully recognized as a member of your chosen leadership group(s), invited to select events and listed as a leadership donor. Learn More

Fast Track members give $500 in first year of membership, $750 in year two, and $1,000 in your third and final Fast Track year.

You can Fast Track your Young Leaders’ Club membership with gift of $100 in your first year, $250 in year two and $500 in year three.

You can also become a Fast Track Alexis de Tocqueville Society member with a gift of $5,000 in your first year, $7,500 in year two and $10,000 in year three.
